It's Good to Be Back
Hi friend,
Did you wonder where I went? My writing has taken a slight hiatus as I recovered from an injury last winter (high ankle sprain and torn achilles ligaments). I have continued to paint, yes, but my progress was slightly impeded by the slower pace of recovery. Because of my recovery time, this blog was moved to the back burner. Now, I am fully healed and back to business!
New items:
I created an online school, EaselShare, at the beginning of the year and I am happy to say it has been very successful. Step-by-step videos, accompanying lesson guides and live group weekly checkins and support were crucial to this success. My first six week course, "Introduction to Pastels" led my students through a variety of lessons from the basics to color-theory and atmospheric perspective. All of the participants created beautiful pastel artworks each week and left the course feeling confident in their use of pastels.
Next, I'll be offering "Adventures in Transparent Watercolor" in April 2019. This is also an introductory course but the duration will be just three weeks. If you are interested in Easelshare and this new watercolor class or future classes, visit: http://www.easelshare.teachable.com
Look for future posts very soon! In the meantime, Happy Spring!
