October Congregation
Fall is here and with it brings a dazzling display of color! Golds, ambers, purples and garnets dot the woods where I live. I had been eyeing a peanut field across from my mailbox and driveway for over a month. The peanuts grew and were harvested leaving a dusty trail of leftover peanut vines. These the farmers rolled for hay, using big, noisy equipment that quickly deposited the rolls of hay bales across the field. Painting a Relic and An Upcoming Sale
Old Pump in Springtime, 8" x 10" Oil on Canvas. Not long ago I had the pleasure of painting buried treasure for a client. Ok, maybe not the treasure that reality show treasure seekers hunt. Or pirates. But buried treasure like this is much more valuable. Relics from days gone by, like an old homeplace or antiques with special memories, that is the real treasure. It's nice to see my followers are genuinely interested in my next onsite painting location and also that they took the time to let me know. One of the places I'd not thought of is the Future Farmstead at the UGA Tifton Campus. It is truly beautiful there and...

Just the thought of the coast soothes my spirit and centers me. When I can make the trip, my favorite destination is the Golden Isles, specifically Jekyll and Saint Simons Island. Feeling the soft crunch of sand beneath my feet and the warmth of the sun on my face does more for my body and mind than therapy ever could. I found myself longing for the beach recently and because I could...
