Lazy Day
There was only a slight breeze that day. And the air was not stagnant but where from where I was standing had a muddy and earthy smell. It was no doubt because there was a pond in front of me and fields around me as far as the eye could see.
A rich blue sky hung overhead, with swirls of clouds and a few crows flying about. It was perfect lazy day meant for respite from the colder weather, even though temperatures have been so very mild this winter.
Two little ducks swam past me and I knew my scene was complete.
How could I not have painted it? I painted it just for myself as much is for anyone else, so that on another day when my life is hectic once again I can gaze over at the wall and remember my lazy day. And smile.
